We provide qualified and experienced staff who are equipped to deal with clients ethically and in a dignified manner, maintaining human rights as underpinned by the NMC professional code of conduct.
All our drivers and escorts have been extensively trained to facilitate safe and secure transportation for informal service users and those detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA) 1983 (amended in MHA 2007) and we provide tailored comprehensive programmes for continued development. In addition, we have a thorough recruitment and selection process, including full enhanced DBS checks.
Our staff have completed the following training programmes or qualifications:
• Minimum Ambulance Care Assistant
• Blue light training with at least one member of the crew being trained
• Mental Health Awareness
• Prevention and Management of violence and aggression (PMVA)
• Breakaway Training
• Control and Restraint Training
• Handcuff Training
• Minimum Mandatory training which includes Health and safety, BLS, Fire safety awareness
