Swift stars uses secure ambulance vehicles for hospital appointments and patient transfers. The seating layout has been taken into consideration to ensure her safety and that of the driver is maintained during transportation. To ensure that anonymity and privacy of the patients is upheld, the windows are tinted.

All our staff are fully training with enhanced DBS checks completed hence safeguarding our patients. The staff are trained and treat patients with respect while striving to meet their identified needs accordingly. Our team request support with aspects such as mental health awareness prior to starting tasks as this allows staff to be prepared in supporting your patients. In ensuring continuity of care we aim to provide the same staff as this is likely to minimize episodes of patient’s anxiety. Overall, we strive to offer a high standard of care at all times.

• Depending on the patient’s risks, staff will stay with the patient for as long as required.

• If a patient has gender and/or ethnic issues our staff will aim to support them accordingly upon request.

We provide swift and secure transport that ensures the safety of patients is maintained. The thought of transporting patients from one place to another may be a daunting process. Swift stars aim to support you through this to ensure that the patients are transported safely despite their risks.

The safety of patients and staff is taken into consideration hence the provision of GPS equipped vehicles and a proficient driver. We provide staff who are adequately trained in safely supporting during transportation for hospitals (NHS & Private) appointments.

At swift stars, we support patients safely despite the potential risks (high or low) posed. Our staff are trained in the use of physical intervention (PMVA) to safely support high-risk patients. If this escalates, handcuffs may be used to manage the challenging behaviour. The use of physical intervention restraints is done as the last resort. Additionally, in an event that handcuffs are needed, it would be ideal for this to be relayed during booking.

We recommend that a person-centred care plan is prepared to help our staff safely support the patients.
